Once again I welcome you to my old school blog.
Well, the long-awaited, but not yet the last, parcels have arrived. Unfortunately, they were barbarically torn apart even before the photo session, as customs officers wanted to see what was inside. 0_o Overall, it’s a long story..

The console, unlike Battletoads (from the previous topic), is used and not in the original packaging. The reason for this was 2 factors: First, new and packaged consoles are very difficult to find today. And secondly, prices for such set-top boxes reach $200-300. This is too much. So I just took a well-maintained used one and saved money on cartridges, which by the way are in a small box. ^^

The console, as you can see, is slightly different from the one we are used to. Red buttons instead of a slider and a black cartridge compartment instead of purple. This is due to the fact that this is a European PAL version of the console. In the 90s they brought the Asian PAL version to us. It was most often counterfeited.

To make sure that we have the original in our hands, let’s take a look at the back of the console. There are 4 legs, good. There is also a leg in the shape of a cut cone, excellent! You can see the metal plate through the grille, absolutely super! The Sega CD compartment is protected by a red plug, that’s it, we’re 200% original.

Let’s move on..
Now many of you are surprised, because European joysticks are very different from those we all love… and for the worse. THEY ARE THREE-BUTTON AND UNREALLY LARGE AND NOT CONVENIENT! But I’m kind of used to it now. The power supply is quite standard.

Now about the second parcel. Since I am rebuilding my collection, only the most famous and affordable cartridges were ordered first. Alas, I haven’t gotten Ultimate Mortal Kombat and Worm Jim yet. But this is just the beginning..

The Mega Games I cartridge came with https://verajohncasino.co.uk/bonus/ the console, and the above-mentioned Battletoads arrived even earlier, which is why they are not in the photo. And yes, all games are not only in the packaging, but also with instructions. =)

Of course, the console, like the games, took pride of place on my shelf. ^_^

That’s all. Finally, I’ll mention that European gamers had it even worse than us, users of Chinese SEGA and buggy cartridges. Do you know why? But because the European Sega did not come with an A/V cable and the whole of Europe played through an antenna cable with interference and poor quality. So then!

I don’t say goodbye.

Today the hardest thing to find is original 6-button joysticks. There are a lot of three push-button ones, only all used. Thank God one new joy came with the console, but in a couple of years it will deteriorate. xD

In the near future I will order both parts of Jim the Worm; there will probably be no unpacking, since I will probably launch my “YouPoop” project by then. As I already mentioned once, this will be a symbiosis of walktrough and my memories of this or that game. It should be interesting, don’t you think??

Wow, cool. And I had a little white one. Damn, with what joy I remember the day when I came home from school and saw a small box under the table with the treasured device, and on it was another, much smaller box – with a Mickey Mouse – Castle of Illusion cartridge. I didn’t really like playing it, but later I finished it with great pleasure. But still, thank you, author, for the cool memories.

It’s hard to believe in the originality of consoles costing 900 rubles.
I looked at the site, I can’t say anything about the Sega themselves, but all the accessories (joysticks and wires) are typical Chinese.

I had SEGA. What can I say, it’s still there. And she was very different from any that are here. A fake, of course, I suppose, or some old version. It is gray in color, almost regular rectangular in shape, with two round buttons on the edges with green LEDs. What else can you notice?? Variety of gamepads I’ve owned. There were also gray ones, a completely different shape, there were classic ones, a little more colorful, etc.d. But it worked with all games intended for SEGI. Actually, the inscription also has the classic “SEGA”

Oh, I would like something in this spirit (or this, it’s a pity there are no photos), + this, the prices seem divine (if you don’t take into account the over 1k rubles for shipping), I’d even give up.

I had an Asian version of shogi, although it was the European version that was drawn on the box) And looking at the box, I dreamed about the European version, because they had red buttons) I looked at the joystick, apparently my dream was in vain.
By the way, my first game Comix Zone was included with the sega.
All peripherals, of course, quickly flew out the window.Especially power supplies, they burned out quickly)
I remember when I couldn’t even find a power supply anywhere, I took a dandy unit from a neighbor through an adapter and connected it not right away, but it worked)

The console is called JXD S5110. Has a 5-inch display, 4th Android, all emulators of old consoles are available. You can even run quake II)
